The guy absolutley owned mainstream full-contact heavy weight karate for years - no small accomplishment. But, among practitioners of the more, er, sophisticated (point-sparring jump reverse spin kicks to the head) martial arts, he was generally considered a mediocre-talent. But the public tends to loves what they can relate to - go figure.
