Almost reminds me of my old Sheriff and Youngstown Congressman Jim Trafficant -- minus the mob ties and the "D" next to his name -- who vowed to run from prison.

and if I remember correctly, still got some write-in votes.

IIRC, Basil Brown, my state senator in Michigan, once actually served from jail. He was constantly being thrown in jail for driving drunk.

Ya bunch of cheap asses. If Brown was properly "greased" he could have afforded a driver.
