Here's the real reason $3/gallon gas is bad

Because it means you're paying nearly $50 for a full tank of the stuff.

P.S. And I drive a midsize car, not an SUV.

I just filled up mine. $40 Canadian for 32 litres.

Good thing I only do that once a month. But I suspect this is cheaper than it's going to be for a while.
