Here's what passes for humor among Republicans
Michelle Malkin was offering this t-shirt (left) for sale recently. Excuse me for not finding it funny.
So when I came across Malkin's post about crybaby journalists, I would have considered it somewhat informative if Malkin's entire world-view on this topic wasn't so totally covered in crap.
Putting it in context:
In a free and open society, it is the role of an independent press to keep an eye on the government. That, boys and girls, is what the First Amendment is all about. So when you see a t-shirt like this one, for sale on a website run by one of the high-powered elite-Republican-apolgist-bloggers, it tells you all you need to know about the zeitgeist in America, circa 2006.

It's actually a nice sentiment, if you're a lawyer and tired of the Shakespearian suggestion to kill us first.

You know, something else occurs to me.
How many times have the likes of Michelle Malkin (and many others) said that all journalists are Democrats? Or liberals? Lots and lots and lots of times.
Now connects the dots -- when you see a t-shirt that makes a joke about killing journalists, what the hell should we be thinking?

Actually, something you should never forget. The single animating sentiment of the Republican movement is hatred of liberals. We hate what they do. They hate us.
