What I saw was that the Clinton argument is deflated if the choice is John (who doesn't have the baggage or conflicts with Barack). They've been saying that with her on the ticket they don't just win in a squeaker, maybe, if we're lucky -- but an electoral college landslide by solidifying support in those very swing States you mention.
That was the only reason I would think it would be a good idea to make Hillary the offer -- the math. Now there's no math argument.
Well, that's nice. But does anyone believe that Obama/Edwards is really somewhere in the cards this year?
Besides... never mind the VP right now. In head to head match-ups, here's what else SUSA found:
In Ohio, SUSA has Obama beating McCain by 9 points.
In Pennsylvania, SUSA has Obama beating McCain by 8 points.
In New Mexico, SUSA has Obama tied with McCain.
In Virginia, SUSA has Obama beating McCain by 7 points.
Cool, huh?
