So, Where Do You Want to Put It?

From the Detroit News…
The co-founder and former CEO of the liberal-progressive Democracy Radio and husband of U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow was caught in February by a Troy police sting aimed at catching prostitutes, according to a police report.
Thomas L. Athans was stopped Feb. 26 by undercover officers investigating a possible prostitution ring in a room at the Residence Inn near Big Beaver and Interstate 75.
I sure hope that township was getting a piece of the action.

Bwah!
I lived in the Detroit area for over 40 years and finally -- finally! -- a story uses that road name for a punchline.
Alas! I don't live there any more.
P.S. great catch!
"P.S. great catch!'
You can take the guy out of Junior High School but...
As you know, there are many "Mile Roads" in Detroit. 8 Mile Road is simply the most famous; rumor has it that the sequel to Eminem's movie will be called "9 Mile Road." Ha! Good one.
Sixteen Mile Road is called many things as it meanders through the northern Detroit suburbs: It's called Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield where my kids live; going east it's called Quarton Road in Bloomfield Hills; on the east side, in Troy, it changes to Big Beaver Rd., providing plenty of giggles for junior high schoolers of at least two generations that I know of. Yet further east it briefly becomes Sixteen Mile Road, then finally Metro Parkway leading all the way to Lake St. Clair and Metro Beach.
That's the nickel tour of Detroit's northern suburbs.
P.S. I heard a standup comic do a bit where he goes, "Guns n Roses? What is that? A flower shop on 8 Mile Road?" Only in Detroit does that get a laugh.
Thanks for the tour; never set foot in the state. Chicago, a few times, Cincinnati once, and blasted across the country on 70 and 80 once. Otherwise my "mid-country" experience has been looking down on it from 39,000 feet ;^)
Where did I get the impression that you're based in Ohio?
