I Never Do This
by Mark Adams
Ever. I never recommend you read something from The Corner, or anything from John Derbyshire no matter where it's written, without a comment or argument about how simply wrong that crowd can be.
But this post encapsulates -- The Right.
Bottom line:
The Republican nominee (whoever it is) will be campaigning for Bush's third term.
Period.
Let 'em say Hillary will be campaigning for Clinton's third term. Most people will take that in a heartbeat.
So when Derbyshire et. al. want to run away from Bush, I say: Not So Fast.
This is why I say you need to go after conservatism and movement Republicansim head-on. We've known for a long time that Republicans would scream that, "Bush wasn't conservative enough," when the wheels finally came off the wagon.
Regardless, you can tie each and every failure of BushCo directly to conservative ideology or the complete hypocrisy therein. If you do it now.
