New visitors to this blog came here this month after typing in the following words or phrases into a search engine:

  1. [Variations on] e pluribus unum
    No mystery here.

  2. lightbulb
Got me on this one. Could this be related to Tom Hanks' line in Saving Private Ryan?

  3. bulge
Bush's mysterious back-bulge during the debates...?

  4. top ten chuck norris facts
Google puts us #4 on the list of URLs. Heh.

  5. filibuster alito
[shrug] Have I gone on and on about that? Apparently so.

  6. larry orlansky
For his letter, New Orleans Must Be Rebuilt. P.S. -- We're ranked #1 when you google his name. Wonder if he knows?

  7. gore is an idiot
Bwah! I simply asked a question -- Gore: Genius or Idiot? For that, we get listed #2.

  8. bernard mcgurk
Imus' bald-headed stooge could be the originator of the phrase, "Is Bush a liar or a dope?" One of my favorite imponderable questions and enough to earn us #5 when you google bernie's name.

  9. give me liberty or give me death
Yes, I've been saying this a lot lately. Not sure where google ranks us on that phrase, but if it brought people here, so be it.

  10. what does leadership mean
Related to a post that quoted Chris Matthews. Google ranked us #8 for the phrase.
P.S. The #1 search phrase that brought new visitors here in 2005? Harriet Miers. I posted about a dozen pieces on her nomination, but it all started with a post, wherein I predicted her nomination five days before it happened.

The phrase that delivers the most visitor to my blog via Google is "urinal etiquette." I'm so proud.
