PM Howard: Al Qaeda loves Dems & Obama; Obama responds
Everyone knows that al Qaeda favored Bush in 2004 -- you don't need the CIA to tell you that. Think about it: A-Q's brand of religious fundamentalism is faaaaaaaaaar more closely matched to Republican theocracy than it is to the godless, libertine Democrats. The End.
And/But I liked how Barack Obama responded to Aussie PM John Howard's ridiculous comments:
[W]e have close to 140,000 troops in Iraq, and my understanding is Mr Howard has deployed 1400, so if he is … to fight the good fight in Iraq, I would suggest that he calls up another 20,000 Australians and sends them to Iraq. Otherwise it's just a bunch of empty rhetoric. In other words, sit down and shut your pie-hole.

Booyah! I loved that. If that man keeps his wit and nerve we are going to have us our first "black" president. When is our "ally" Mr. Howard’s term up?

Not a bad analysis, really. However, one cohesive factor that he completely misses (it’s not all about economics) is America’s love for our constitutional origin and identity – at least conceptually. I hope that people realize what is happening in time and rally around that which unites us but, if this country does fly apart, watch everyone try to claim that mantle for justification.
