Bush loyalist caves, vows to vote Democratic
Yes, it's true: Rosemary is out. She's vowing to throw the Republican bastards under the bus.
If this is really true, then she'll be voting against her personal friend, Republican Cong. Thaddeus McCotter (MI-11) and for Tony Trupiano, the Democratic challenger.
I find that hard to believe. Come on -- look at what she was willing to put up with up until yesterday...
For starters, McCotter has voted the Republican party line 92% of the time. That should be fine with Rosemary, right? McCotter voted with Bush 85% of the time. Yea, Bush!
In addition, Rosemary was fine with the following McCotter actions:
- He voted to "ease up" on House ethics rules when DeLay proposed doing so as GOP Majority Leader. Fine with our favorite Republican apologist.
- Voted to allow DeLay to continue to "serve" after an indictment. No problems there, eh Rose?
- In fact, McCotter voted with Tom DeLay 92% of the time. Crikey! What's not to like?
But when Sen. Majority Leader Bill Frist flip-flops and says maybe the Taliban are OK with him after all (and -- look out! -- Frist recants less than a day later) it's Katie-bar-the-door!
C'mon Rose -- cut him some slack! He's a Senator. And he's not even YOUR Senator.
And speaking of Senators -- does this mean you're voting for Debbie Stabenow? And how about Jenny Granholm while you're at it, too?
I can't wait.

Even if she stays home, I'll take that as a victory.
