VA-Senate: “The people who failed to prevent disaster in Iraq are not the ones you can count on to fix it.”

Jim Webb knows how to speak plainly and directly about the Republican failure in the Iraq War.

"We need leaders in the US Senate, not followers."

I've met Jim. I'd follow him into hell. There are damn few people I would say that about. Damn few.

As we know, voters respond most favorably to the candidate who can best articulate the following simple message:

"Follow me!"

That is the kind of candidate Jim Webb appears to be.

P.S. I've said before that if there was ONE Republican candidate that I would like most to lose, it would be Rick Santorum.

Not any more.

George Felix Allen Jr. is now that candidate.

I don't know if Webb can pull it off, but I hope he can send Allen's sorry, racist, anti-Semitic, deranged ass down to defeat.

What a distasteful wanker.

That may be so for the reality-based community but there is a large swath of anti-Democrat partisans who are simply incapable to judge, e.g.:

“Margaret Jensen, from nearby Newark, said the GOP troubles are ‘unfortunate.’ But she quickly added: ‘We are die-hard Republicans. We'll never go over to the other side, no matter what.’”

Millions of them will vote for Rick Santorum and George Felix Allen. Partisan morons.
